Thoughts on buying used books

Long time.. yeah i know.
Anyways, today i went to half price books (a used bookstore) in search of my textbooks for school hoping i could save a dollar finding them used. Since i was there i decided to go browse the clearance section and found the penguin edition of the memory keeper's daughter for a dollar! $$ cha-ching i bought the heck outta that! Anyways so just now i decided to go through it and see if the previous owner had left anything in it (I have a weird fascination with trying to figure out who read the book before me.)  and i found the receipt for when it was bought in 2007 at a barnes and nobles in austin, i live in dallas. I don't know, it just makes me excited to know that. I also once found a airplane ticket from my copy of never let me go, and i imagined a business person buying the book from a airport to read during their flight and then selling the book back to the bookstore i bought it from. And then from a book bought from betterworldbooks i found sand in a few pages and some sort of flower in the next and i imagined a person taking the book around with them to read near an ocean and then under some kind of garden. Anyways these are the things that occur to me at 2 in the morning. Night.

Bookcloseouts Haul

Oh man, i love looking at book hauls! So when i received my order from bookcloseouts yesterday i decided i would blog about it! I am new at this blogging thing so... here we go.

Born wicked i got as a scratch and dent version for $2.49. It actually is in great condition, the only downfall is that on the website they had the newer cover pictured instead of this older one. And i really really wanted the new version, its just so pretty! But this is pretty too.
My life next door, $6.99 The probability of miracles, $4.99 and Illuminate $4.99
The disenchantments, $5.99 The treachery of beautiful things, $5.99 and the boy in the striped pajamas, $3.99

I got all these for a total of $34.92 shipped. I absolutely love this website, as you can see most of these books do have the black mark at the bottom. I do not care about this though seeing how i do not plan on reselling them or anything like that. Only problem now is that my TBR pile is growing faster than i can actually read, so goodbye.

Books everywhere!

I have always loved to read. I remember being young and finding a little nook under a window and reading to no end until the sun went down. And now since my last post, i have acquired a obsession for buying books. My wallet is surely feeling it, oh well. There is just a whole lot of new books that i see and just HAVE to buy and have in my possession to read and love. I spend a lot of my time browsing through the barnes and noble website, and i've discovered booktube. I have also found bookcloseouts.com so many good books for such a low price! I constantly stalk their website to see if they've gotten any new books in that i've been lusting over but could not afford at their regular price. I might to a separate post naming all the good books i've found on their website. And of course lastly i couldn't forget my one true love, half price books. Now there is a half price books near my house but it is smaller and i usually don't find as many deals as the one that is a little farther to my house but bigger. Ah love love love that one they have so many books for so cheap and not to mention that they have a nice little coffee shop inside the store too. If i were to die today that would be my heaven!

Rimmel Scandal Eyes

These eye liners! Are simply wonderful. I normally cannot wear eyeliner on my top lid because i always end up making the line too thick or i just wont like it. But with these i could actually line my top lid, and i just love them. They just slide really smoothly and have great color payoff. I especially love the black with glitter. Most def. going to go buy some of the other colors they offer.

I bought the nude one to go on my waterline, but I'm not sure whether i like it for the waterline or not.
